A morning trip to Oku-Nikko to find wild birds
Nikko has a diverse natural environment and is a place where you can see a variety of wild birds.
Your nature guide will provide you with instructions on how to use binoculars (free rental) and tips for observation.
After learning how to use the binoculars, you will enjoy bird watching while taking a leisurely walk around the park grounds of Lake Yunoko and Yumoto Hot springs area.
Why not try some morning birdwatching to spot the wild birds of Oku-Nikko?
Clothing: Comfortable clothing (long sleeves, long trousers, winter clothing, gloves, hat, etc.), comfortable shoes
*This tour will be mainly for observation, so there will not be much walking. Please wear warm clothes.
*There is a possibility of snowfall from December onwards. Please be sure to bring snow boots or other cold weather gear.
*The event may be canceled in the event of bad weather.

Even first-timers or those who are not confident in their physical strength can safely and easily experience kayaking on Lake Chuzenji in Oku-Nikko, which is rich in nature.
The joy of canoeing on Lake Chuzenji is being able to enjoy nature from the lake's surface, from fresh greenery to autumn leaves.

Nikkozan Hot springs is a branch temple of the World Heritage Site, Nikkozan Rinnoji Temple.
This is a very rare temple in Japan where you can enjoy Hot springs, and you can take a day trip to enjoy the baths.

Copying Sutras
Experience a soothing and tranquil time
To complete it, simply trace with all your heart the 16 characters of the Medicine Sutra written in light ink.
Once you have copied the sutra and submitted it, you will be given a special goshuin (red seal) written on gold paper as proof.
The submitted sutras are offered to the principal image of Bhaisajyaguru, Yakushi Nyorai, and burned at the Hot springs-ko "Saitou Daigoma Ceremony" held every year on August 8th.

Nikko carving experience
Experience Nikko's proud traditional craft, "Nikko Carving"!
You can experience this casual experience with just one person using a carving knife called a "scratch knife," which is unique to Nikko carving.
Our staff will teach you how to use the carving knife and how to carve, so even beginners can feel at ease.

Factory tour and yuba experience
Have fun while learning about the traditional food culture of the region!
At the Nikko Yuba Manufacturing Nikko Factory, you can observe the yuba-making process and experience pulling the yuba up, which is the only experience of its kind Tochigi.
On the factory tour, you can see how yuba is made through glass.
You can also enjoy making yuba in a miniature yuba tank during the yuba pulling experience.
