Mount Akita
Boasting an elevation of 1,637m, this is the highest peak in Akita Prefecture and is a popular mountain famous for its flowers, as many alpine plants bloom here. The mountain opens to the public on June 1st and you can enjoy hiking until late October. July is especially recommended, as the alpine plants are in bloom.

Tazawako

Akita Kanto Festival
