Tochigi Nakagawa Aquatic Park
The only aquarium in Tochigi. There are 20,000 fish of 300 species on display, from the local Naka River to freshwater fish from around the world and coral reef fish. Of particular interest is the large aquarium that recreates the Amazon River that can be seen from a 6m long tunnel. This is a facility where you can experience the majestic nature brought to you by rivers. On a site the size of five Tokyo Domes, you can enjoy a variety of activities, including a ``Fishing Pond'' and ``Grabbing Pond'' that parents and children can enjoy together, a ``Water Plaza'' where you can play for free, and a ``Direct Sales Shop'' that sells vegetables straight from the farm.

Nakagawa Town Bato Hiroshige Museum
Sakura-shi Valuable hand-painted paintings and ukiyo-e prints by Utagawa Hiroshige, collected by businessman Tosaku Aoki, who was born in the Taisho ~ early Showa period. This museum houses prints from the Edo and Meiji periods. Special and special exhibitions centered on ukiyo-e are held several times a year, and the works are rotated for each exhibition, so you can encounter different pieces each time you visit. One of the highlights is the building that represents Kengo Kuma's representative design, who designed the main stadium for the Tokyo Olympics.

Oya History Museum
This is a museum that shows the history of Oya stone mining. The exhibition hall displays materials on tools, mining methods, and changes in transportation from the mid-Edo period, when mining began in earnest, to around 1959. The highlight of this museum is the remains of the underground mine. It is a huge underground space that is 60 meters underground at its deepest point, and the average temperature inside the mine is usually around 8°C. The lit-up space is often used as a venue for concerts, plays, shows, etc., making it a popular spot especially among the younger generation.

Wakatake no Mori Wakayama Farm
Wakayama Farm has a field of about 24 hectares in the northern part of Utsunomiya City, with the Nikko Mountain Range behind it. The farm, which boasts an area the size of five Tokyo Domes, grows bamboo shoots, bamboo, and chestnuts. You can enjoy harvesting experiences such as bamboo shoot picking, blueberry picking, and chestnut picking. Also popular are a walk through the bamboo forest where you can feel the soothing sound of bamboo rustling, matcha served in bamboo bowls, and the illumination of the bamboo forest. Boasting the largest bamboo forest in Japan, it is a rare space even in Japan, and is used as a filming location for movies and commercials.

Happogahara Omamadai
This plateau, located northwest of Yaita City, stretches across a high altitude of 1000-1200m. Its name comes from the fact that it offers panoramic views of Nikko, the Nasu mountain range, and the distant Kanto Plain, allowing visitors to see in all directions. It's also famous for its large clusters of azaleas, which can be enjoyed throughout the four seasons. While the Takahara Mountain Station has restaurants and shops, there are virtually no streetlights in the surrounding area, allowing for a magnificent view of the starry night sky. From late November to late April, the forest road from Prefectural Road 56 towards Happogahara-Omama is closed to vehicles due to snow. During winter, it's essential to check traffic information in advance.

Ujiie Yuuyu Park
This park is built on the riverbed of the Kinugawa River, where you can take a breather while enjoying the gentle flow of the Kinugawa River with the Hikari and Nasu mountain ranges as a backdrop. Lawn plazas, streams, and a large pond have been developed, and nearby are Sakurazukumi Temple, the ruins of Katsuyama Castle, the Sakura-shi Museum, and the Hirokata Arai Memorial Hall. Recommended for walks with your dog.

Omaruyama Park
The remains of the Kitsuregawa Shioya clan's castle, which governed the area in the medieval period. Deep trenches and large and small flat fields that evoke those days still remain. In spring, it is known for its beautiful seasonal plantings, including cherry blossoms, mountain azaleas, and Yamabuki grass, and in summer, fox razors, making it a popular spot for locals to stroll and enjoy.

Takizawa Family Residence
The residence of Kiheiji Takizawa, a leading businessman of the Meiji-era Tochigi. He was a businessman involved in sericulture, and also devoted himself to local education. Facing the old Oshu Kaido, traditional walls surround the area, and the imposing row gate is opened, retaining the atmosphere of the old house and preserving the dignified atmosphere of the Meiji era. It is a valuable site where you can appreciate the standards of modern Japanese-style architecture, featuring high-quality materials and designs.

Sakura-shi Museum / Hirokata Arai Memorial Hall
Introducing the artistic work of Hirokata Arai, a native of Sakura-shi, who was active at the Japan Art Institute during the Meiji, Taisho, and Showa eras as a pioneer of Japan-India cultural exchange as a Buddhist painter and a 'pilgrim' in cultural property preservation. In addition, special exhibitions mainly feature paintings and craft works by artists connected to Tochigi.

Katsuyama Castle Ruins
The ruins of Katsuyama Castle, a cliffside castle overlooking the Kinugawa River (built utilizing a cliff), were constructed by the Ujiie clan around the end of the Kamakura period and had a history of approximately 300 years until its abandonment in 1597. The dry moats and earthworks evoke the castle's former glory, making it a romantic spot for a stroll that evokes a sense of history. In the center of the Katsuyama Park Bridge, which connects Katsuyama and Ujiie Yuuyu Park, is the "Bell of Connection," which is said to bring happiness to lovers who ring it together while making a wish.
