“Sagemon” is a place where lucky charms are hung to wish happiness, health, good health, and good match for girls on their first festival day.

At a time when people were told that people only lived for 50 years, this song represents the wishes of parents to live even one year longer.

Every year at this time of year, not only homes celebrating their first festival but also tourist facilities, shopping streets, and stores in Yanagawa-shi are decorated with ornaments.

In addition,Yanagawa Doll's Festival "Sagemon Meguri" will be held from​February 11th (Sunday) to April 3rd (Wednesday), 2024​.
