Nice to meet you, I'm Rina Amagasu from the Sakura-shi Regional Revitalization Cooperation Team!
In April 2025, I moved from Saitama Prefecture to Sakura-shi. In my daily life, I engage in various activities such as promoting tourism through social media, hosting city events, and planning events.
From my perspective as someone who has moved to Sakura-shi, I hope to share the charms of the region to make your trip even more enjoyable.
From now on, I plan to share my recommended Sakura-shi tourist spots every week (8 installments in total). Thank you very much!
How about spending time in nature at Omaruyama Park, where you can relax in nature after your KAMENOI HOTEL outing?
Omaruyama Park was originally developed on the land of Okuragasaki Castle, the Kitsuregawa Shioya clan, who governed this area in the medieval period. Even now, you can see deep trenches and large and small flat areas, allowing you to glimpse the ruins of the castle from that era.
My favorite thing about Omaruyama Park is the sunset.
Watching the sky change moment by moment, and returning to my true self to breathe slowly, is a truly blissful moment for me.

In the evenings, you often see people parking their cars at the mountaintop to watch the sunset.
There are several benches and other facilities at the summit, so you can take a break.
Reading a book or having lunch while breathing in fresh air is also wonderful.

Also, in spring there are cherry blossoms, during the rainy season there are hydrangeas, and around the Obon festival there are clusters of Lycoris radiata,
It's a place that shows different faces depending on the season, and you can discover something new every time you visit.
When you think of Omaruyama Park, you think of the 'Kitsuregawa Sky Tower.' Unfortunately, you can't climb it now, but it's like a symbol of Kitsuregawa. I'm bad with directions, so when I get lost and find the tower, I feel very reassured (laughs).

Recently, the summit was equipped with the first "inclusive playground equipment" in the Tochigi. This equipment is suitable not only for children with disabilities but also for children in medical care, and of course, adults can play as well. Nearby, there are restrooms, drinking fountains, and benches, so you can move your body with peace of mind!

What did you think?
After a morning walk or enjoying Food or Hot springs, be sure to stop by.
Stay tuned for the next episode!
