Notice of renovation and reopening on 4/1
~ Opened with an improved style that incorporates Hikone 's history and tradition into the interior ~
We are pleased to announce that KAMENOI HOTEL HIKONE has completed renovations and will reopen on April 1st.
With this renovation, the lobby lounge, Guest rooms, restaurants (2 locations), shops, etc. have been completely redesigned.
A distinctive feature of the renovation is that it incorporates the history and traditions of the area throughout.
As you enter the entrance, you will find an open lobby lounge with an open atrium.
The lobby lounge has a front counter inspired by the stacked stones of Hikone, a national treasure that is a regional feature along with Lake Biwa, a carpet inspired by armor, and lighting shaped like candlesticks, all evoking the power of castles and samurai. The interior is designed with the image of development in mind.
On the other hand, the key color is vermilion, which is a symbol of the Ii family, the castle lords, which comes from the "Ii family's red preparation".
The colors and light control create a cozy atmosphere that makes you feel as if you are being welcomed by the castle lord.
This key color is used in the lobby lounge and restaurant.
Taking advantage of the spectacular location overlooking Lake Biwa, we have newly built a ``view bathroom'' where you can see the lake view from the room's bath.
In the summer, you can enjoy a resort-like view of leisure guests enjoying a lakeside bath from the windows.

The entrance lobby is studded with motifs inspired by the stacked stones and topography of Hikone.
■■Big Table Lounge (1F)
A new lounge has been established where you can relax after Food or after taking a bath.
At the alcohol server in the lounge, you can enjoy your favorite wine or sake depending on the season.
Insert the special card given to you at check-in into the server and choose your favorite wine.
This is a service that allows you to settle all charges at the time of check-out. (Can be used from check-in to check-out, and can be used during the stay if staying for consecutive nights)
■■ Restaurant
=Restaurant Biwa (2F)
The interior is accented with vermillion, which also links to the lobby lounge. The lighting on the ceiling is the red of a strong castle and torches, and is a symbol of the restaurant that evokes the image of Hikone 's strength, unity, and stability.
During the day, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Lake Biwa, and at night, you can enjoy a relaxing Food in silence.
=Restaurant Ibuki (2F)
The restaurant is decorated in profound monochrome colors inspired by Hikone. The pillar by the window is likened to an andon.
