A local Kumahachi statue painted by local high school students has been unveiled!

A statue of our founder, Kumahachi Aburaya, dressed in a local design created by a young sensibility, welcomes you in the hotel lobby.

KAMENOI HOTEL nationwide are working as an "art project" to have local high school students paint the brand new "Kumahachi Statue" on canvas in colors typical of the region.

KAMENOI HOTEL AWAJISHIMA 's "Kumahachi Statue" was designed and painted by the Art Department of Hyogo Tachisumoto Jitsugyo High School, and I returned to the hotel on March 4, 2026. Please see the details of the local design "Kumahachi statue" drawn by a young sensibility.

Awajishima a lot of elements.
Speaking of Awaji, Awajishima milk and Kobe beef are famous, so I put it on my left shoulder, and the collar was designed with the image of an incense stick. The tie is made of straw, and the jacket is filled with octopus, loquat, Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, lettuce, and flowers from Narcissus Village. I designed the shoes for 3 years Tora Fugu. Also, since the sea is famous, I made him tan and wear sunglasses.

The unveiling ceremony was held with KAMENOI HOTEL AWAJISHIMA 's proud scenery and the sea in the background! It became an unveiling ceremony where the "Kumahachi statue" completed by everyone stood out even more. And everyone did the same pose and took a fun commemorative photo ☆ It was a very exciting unveiling ceremony.

In this project, the "Kumahachi statue" in each region will become a new symbol, and it will be an opportunity for customers visiting KAMENOI HOTEL nationwide to discover new charms, and we will aim to deepen the familiarity of the local people as a "hotel in our town".
