Summer Vacation Festival Event Coming Up!

We will be holding a festival event for a limited time from July 18th (Saturday) to August 31st (Monday).
Enjoy a summer festival atmosphere with plenty of fun activities like shooting games, giant ring toss, and super ball scooping! Plus, we'll be holding workshops that are popular with children.

How to Use	At check-in, we will provide you with festival vouchers for each person in your party. (One set per person, regardless of age.) Woodblock Printing Workshop

Experience prints themed after Aso

This is a special hands-on program where you can print woodblock prints inspired by the nature of Aso and the culture that lives in the land by hand. You can take it home as a memento of your trip.

Woodblock printing is a traditional art form that has been passed down through the ages in Japan; it is highly regarded both domestically and internationally for its evocative beauty, as exemplified by ukiyo-e.

A major feature of this is that it is perceived by international visitors as a “truly Japanese cultural experience” and by domestic visitors as a “culture that evokes a sense of nostalgia,” making it easy to resonate with people regardless of age or nationality.

This program is designed to offer a modern and accessible way to experience woodblock printing.

Pasture Ride

Enjoy cycling in “Makino,” a place usually off-limits to the public

This is a special experience that gives you exclusive access to the Makino Grasslands, which are normally off-limits without permission. Come enjoy a bike ride with an officially certified guide (Makino Guide).

In fact, by experiencing a grassland ride, you can also participate in grassland conservation activities.
The fee for this pasture ride includes a grassland conservation fee, which is used for the sustainable maintenance and management of grasslands.

Bicycle Rental

Ride your bicycle through the great outdoors of Aso and the city center

Enjoy the Aso 's natural beauty with a rental bicycle.
You can enjoy Aso even without a car. You can head to the Shrine area for a Aso Casual Ride, or rent an e-bike to challenge Daikanbo or Kusasenri Mountain.

If you make a reservation by the day before, they’ll deliver the bike to your hotel, so you can start your ride without having to go anywhere. Of course, you can also return the bike to the hotel, so you can enjoy a full day of cycling.
