History of Arima Hot springs

Arima Hot springs, which is counted as one of the three ancient hot springs of the Japan, is a famous hot spring with a long history that was recorded in the "Nihon Shoki" in ancient times. Hideyoshi Toyotomi also visited frequently, and his efforts to improve the city spread its name throughout the country. Along with the unique spring quality of the rich "Kinsen" and the refreshing "Ginsen", the Hot springs culture that has been passed down for more than 1,300 years is still alive and well.

KAMENOI HOTEL ARIMA boasts its own hot spring, the Atagoyama Spring, which gushes forth from 300 meters underground. In addition to the large public bath, the hotel will reopen in August 2025 with premium Japanese-Western rooms featuring free-flowing golden spring water, a rarity even in Arima Hot springs. The bath attendants meticulously monitor the condition of the water, ensuring that it is always at its best.
