A local Kumahachi statue painted by local high school students has been unveiled!

A statue of our founder, Kumahachi Aburaya, dressed in a local design created by a young sensibility, welcomes you in the hotel lobby.

KAMENOI HOTEL nationwide are working as an "art project" to have local high school students paint the brand new "Kumahachi Statue" on canvas in colors typical of the region.

KAMENOI HOTEL ARIMA 's "Kumahachi Statue" was designed and painted by two members of the art department of Hyogo Rikkbe Kita High School, and returned to the hotel on February 14, 2026. Please see the details of the local design "Kumahachi statue" drawn by a young sensibility.

Hyogo Comment from the Art Department of Tachikobe Kita High School

It expresses the peaceful atmosphere of Kobe with mountains and the sea.
The right half of the body is an image of Mt. Rokko and Arima Hot springs, and the color is Kinnoyu. The left half of the body is the image of Kobe's port, and the color is silver water. The cow is Kobe beef. The tie and pants are red to represent the port tower.

The unveiling ceremony was a huge success! Two club members had fun taking commemorative photos in the same pose as the "Kumahachi statue" they had completed. The children were also very interested in the beautifully decorated "Kumahachi statue"♪

KAMENOI HOTEL aims to be an even more appealing "local inn filled with tradition and warmth" by adding the unique value of the area to the spirit of hospitality and innovation that has been passed down since Kumahachi Aburaya 's founding.

In this project, the "Kumahachi statue" in each region will become a new symbol, and it will be an opportunity for customers visiting KAMENOI HOTEL nationwide to discover new charms, and we will aim to deepen the familiarity of the local people as a "hotel in our town".
