Hello everyone! We're pleased to announce that we'll be starting a seasonal vegetable cultivation project in the hotel courtyard this year, and I'd like to introduce myself to you.
If we are able to cultivate them successfully, we plan to let all visitors taste them, so please look forward to it! In our first blog post, we will tell you about the "seedling planting" that took place on June 17th.
We've named our farm "Makado Farm" and started operations! The cultivation area is right next to the large banquet hall "Eboshi no Ma" on the first floor, and you'll be able to see it during breakfast.
It was quite a while ago, but there was a time when we built an igloo in the courtyard, and now we're reusing its framework to try our hand at growing plants in planters!
For our memorable first planting, we mainly planted tomatoes and bell peppers, but we also planted cucumbers and chili peppers!
We're a group of complete amateurs with no farming experience, so we're a little worried about how far we can go, but we'll do our best to cultivate them with all our hearts. Please watch over us with warmth and support!

Two weeks have passed since we planted the seedlings. We can clearly see they're growing rapidly. But! There's no time to bask in the joy! We must "prune" the buds to ensure they bear a good harvest!
|
I didn't realize it until the manager pointed it out to me, but if you don't pinch off the side shoots, the nutrients get dispersed and you don't get tasty fruit!
Since it's the rainy season, we'll be watering less often, but we're hoping that it doesn't get flooded with too much rain! Also, I have another announcement to make. We've planted wisteria trees in the park.
The flowers will probably bloom in about 3 to 5 years, but I'll patiently watch over them!
