Cherry blossoms in Hirosaki Park
Hirosaki Park, known as a famous cherry blossom viewing spot, is home to approximately 2,600 cherry trees of 52 varieties, including Somei Yoshino, weeping cherry, and double cherry blossoms, all in full bloom.

Kabushima Shrine
Kabushima Shrine, which enshrines Benzaiten and has long been worshipped by locals as the guardian deity of prosperous business and safe fishing. Because the characters "kabu" (turnip) and "kabu" (stock) are pronounced the same, it is said to bring good fortune in raising stock prices and the "kabu" (stock) of popularity.

Sannai Maruyama ruins
The remains of one of the largest Jomon settlements in Japan, which existed 5,500 years ago.
It was registered as a World Heritage Site in 2021. Highlights include the Jomon Jiyukan, where you can learn about the lives of the Jomon people through exhibits and experiences, as well as 15 restored pit dwellings and three raised-floor buildings.

Oshima on the Natsudomari Peninsula
A tourist spot with a panoramic view of Mutsu Bay. There is a bridge so you can walk even at high tide. Oshima is approximately 20 hectares in area, and although some parts of the island are so steep that it is impossible to go around it, you can enjoy outdoor activities such as swimming at the beach, camping, and fishing.

Asamushi Aquarium
This aquarium is rooted in the local area and is home to a variety of familiar aquatic creatures, including a "tunnel tank" that recreates the waters of Mutsu Bay. Dolphin performances are held every day.

Nebuta, one of the three major festivals in Tohoku
This is one of the three major festivals in the Tohoku region, held every year from August 2nd to 7th. Following the floats called "ningyo nebuta," dancers called "haneto" dance while chanting "rassera, rassera."

Tsuta Nanuma
The best time to see the autumn leaves is from mid to late October. There are walking trails connecting six of the seven swamps (Tsuta-numa, Kagami-numa, Tsukinuma, Naga-numa, Hyotan-numa, Suganuma, and Akanuma) so that anyone can easily enjoy the nature and bird watching of the seven swamps.

Mount Hakkoda
The leaves begin to change color near the summit in late September, and the best viewing time is from early to late October. The autumn leaves seen from the Hakkoda Ropeway are particularly beautiful, with the mountains dyed red and gold in a truly spectacular sight.

Jogakura Bridge
One of the most scenic spots in Towada-Hachimantai National Park. From the 360m long Jokagura Bridge, a deck bridge spanning the mountain stream, you can see not only the Hakkoda mountain range and Mt. Iwaki, but also the Aomori city area. The best time to see the autumn leaves is around mid-October.

Asado Beach
In winter (mid-October to late March), you can see around 700 to 800 swans. The area has been designated a special natural monument by the government as "Kominato's Swans and Their Migration Grounds."

Mount Hakkoda
Taking an aerial stroll on the ropeway while admiring the frost-covered trees is one of the best parts of visiting Mt. Hakkoda in winter. The best time to see the frost-covered trees is in February, and it is a rare sight that can only be seen for about a month in winter.
