"Rainbow Carp Streamer Project 2025" is now underway!

The Rainbow Carp Streamer Project is being held at Hikari-shi Nijihama Beach from April 26th to May 9th!

(The illuminations will be on from sunset until 10pm)

There will also be food and drink booths and experience events from May 3rd to 5th.

Please come and see the approximately 150 carp streamers gracefully swimming in the sea breeze!

In 2013, the local Asae Junior High School students participated in the Shinsai Mirai Exchange Meeting and got involved in the Blue Carp Streamer Project.

This project was started to ensure that the Great East Japan Earthquake would not be forgotten, and to pay tribute to the children who fell victim to the tsunami.

It is hung with the prayer that he will not be lonely in heaven.
