Kumano Kodo is a general term for the pilgrimage routes used for ``Kumano Pilgrimage'' that have continued since the Heian period. Although many roads have disappeared these days, Daimonzaka is known for retaining its original appearance. In 2004, it was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as a ``Sacred Site and Pilgrimage Route in the Kii Mountain Range,'' and many pilgrims visit from all over the country.
The Heian Costume Experience, where you can walk around the Kumano Kodo in costumes that recreate the appearance of those days, is also popular.

I used it for sightseeing on the Kumano Kodo.
I looked for an inn that was close to Kii-Katsuura Station, where I could take Hot springs, see the ocean from my room, and have a good breakfast (not a buffet).
I am satisfied that I was able to choose a good accommodation based on my actual experience.

With good Access to Kumano Kodo and Nachi Falls, it is the perfect location for touring Kumano Kodo.
If your body is tired from hiking, you can rejuvenate in the large Hot springs spring bath and the cold outdoor bath.
All the staff were always smiling and helpful, and I was able to spend a very comfortable time during my stay.

I stayed here to visit Nachi Falls and Kumano Kodo. It was conveniently located a few kilometers from the Daimonzaka parking lot. From my room, I could see Nachi Falls in the distance, and using binoculars I could see that the upper part of the waterfall was divided into three parts. Food was delicious both morning and evening. I found the lobster tempura to be more delicious than the sashimi. Hot springs bath in the room was also nice. The hotel seemed to be fully booked, but when I went to the public bath after 3:00 pm, it was reserved for private use, so I was able to enjoy it at my leisure. The veteran employees had a very good customer service attitude, and overall I was satisfied with the accommodation.
About a 10-minute walk from the hotel, we arrived at the Nigiwai Market at the port, which was the only place that was busy. There was a footbath next to the lively market, but it was a bit lukewarm.
If I have the opportunity, I would like to stay at this hotel again.
