Kanaoyama Azalea Festival

Every year from mid-April to early May, the park is filled with approximately 5,000 azalea bushes in full bloom.
The climb from the parking lot to the summit of Mt. Kanao is easy, and from the observation deck you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Chichibu Mountains and the Kanto Plain.

Kanaoyama, also known as Tsutsujiyama (Azalea Mountain), is located about 800 meters west of Hakure Station on the Chichibu Railway.
This azalea garden on Mt. Kanaoyama is home to approximately 10,000 azalea bushes, some of which are over 200 years old.
During the azalea blooming season, approximately 9,000 people visit to see the flowers.

The flowers will be in full bloom around mid-April. This year, the "Kanaoyama Azalea Festival" is being held to coincide with the blooming season.
