"Sake Brewing Forest" is a tourist sake brewery surrounded by a beautiful, lush forest. It features a brewery that produces the local sake "Chichibu Nishiki," along with a sake brewery museum and a souvenir shop.
Enjoy our local sake, "Chichibu Nishiki," while learning about the more than 270-year history of sake brewing.

This historic sake brewery in Chichibu was founded in 1749 during the mid-Edo period. The museum displays numerous sake-making tools and documents that tell the story of over 270 years of history, as well as sake vessels used by people who loved sake. The souvenir corner sells local sake "Chichibu Nishiki," Chichibu shochu, and liqueur "Chichibu no Umeshu," as well as a selection of other local Chichibu specialties. You can also sample the sake sold at the tasting corner. Please try the rich flavor and smooth finish.

Held annually on December 3rd! "Chichibu Night Festival"

This festival is counted among the "Three Great Float Festivals of Japan" along with the Gion Festival in Kyoto and the Takayama Festival in Hida.

The UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage "Chichibu Night Festival" is on a par with the "Gion Festival" in Kyoto and the "Takayama Festival" in Hida.

On December 3rd, a special shuttle bus will be operating to Hakurei Station on the Chichibu Railway for guests heading to the Chichibu Night Festival.
