The best hydrangea garden in Japan is in full bloom! Approximately 40,000 hydrangeas of 400 different species are blooming in the vast cedar forest. The most popular spot is the colorful "Hydrangea Pond" where approximately 5,000 hydrangeas float on the water surface. You can enjoy it until July 25th.

The "Beach Safety Prayer Ceremony" will be held at Murozumi Beach (Murozumi Shinkai Hikari-shi) on Saturday, July 13, 2024. We will pray for the safety of Murozumi Beach and Nijigahama Beach (Nijigahama Hikari-shi), and the beach is finally opening! The beach opening period for both beaches this year is from July 13 (Sat) to August 18 (Sun).

Sawanoi tasting set has been renewed!
The popular Sawanoi tasting set at our hotel restaurant has been renewed! The "seasonal sake" that changed with the seasons has been discontinued, and in addition to Daiginjo and Tokyo Kurano, we have one of Sawanoi's standard products, "Okarakuchi", so that you can enjoy it all year round. "Okarakuchi" has a firm mouthfeel and a clean, authentic dry taste.

July Events ~Local performing arts~
In July, local performing arts performances will be held every Saturday! On July 6th, the Kagura "Hoken Osame" was performed by the Yomota Kagura Preservation Society. The sound of the big drums and the rhythm of the bells, the Kagura songs, and the lines spoken while dancing made it seem like a play. (The fact that there are lines is a special feature of Kagura, which is passed down from southern Iwate to northern Miyagi...)
