Kokura Castle
Kokura Castle, a famous castle built in the 7th year of the Keicho era, was called ``Karazukuri'' at the time, and was the only and rare castle in Japan. Inside the castle, there is plenty to see, including an impressive theater that introduces the history of Kokura Castle, introductions to the Hosokawa clan and Ogasawara clan who were the lords of the Kokura domain, introductions to Miyamoto Musashi and Kojiro Sasaki, and an observation zone with a 360-degree view of Kokura town. It is also famous for its approximately 300 cherry blossom trees in the spring and the beautiful autumn leaves of the zelkova and ginkgo trees in the fall.

Mt. Sarakura
The grand panorama that can be viewed from Mt. Sarakura (altitude 622m), one of Kitakyushu's most famous mountains, is of an overwhelming scale.
It takes about 10 minutes to take a cable car and then a slope car to reach the observation deck at the top of the mountain, from where you can see the entire Kitakyushu-shi a city of one million people where mountains, sea, and city are integrated.

Mojiko Retro District
The area around Mojiko Station is a city where the good old days and modern times are fused. There are many attractions such as the former Moji Customs House, the former Moji Mitsui Club, the Dalian Friendship Memorial Hall, and the Moji Port Retro Observation Room.

Tomigahana (Myokenzaki Lighthouse)
Tomigahana, which boasts one of the best views on the Wakamatsu north coast, is home to the Myokensaki Lighthouse, and the view from the cliff where the lighthouse stands overlooks the color of the sea, the islands in the ocean, and the striped rock formations are all worth seeing. There is also Misaki Shrine nearby, which is said to be the god of matchmaking and marital harmony.

Wakato Bridge
A 627m long suspension bridge that connects Wakamatsu Ward and Tobata Ward. The red structure spanning Dokai Bay is a symbol of both Wakamatsu and Tobata wards.
When it opened in 1962, it was the longest suspension bridge in the East and was said to be the pioneer of Japan's long suspension bridges.
This historic bridge is designated as a national important cultural property in 2022 and is celebrating its 60th anniversary.
At the base of the Wakamatsu side, there are retro buildings such as the Kitakyushu Former Furukawa Mining Wakamatsu Building and the Ueno Building, making it a bustling tourist spot.

Hiraodai
Hiraodai is counted as one of the three major karst regions in Japan and is designated as a natural monument, a quasi-national park, and a prefectural natural park.
The area, dotted with limestone rocks at an altitude of 300-700m and stretching 6km north to south and 2km east to west, is popular as a trekking course, and you can encounter unusual landscapes created by nature, such as the "Lion Rock" and "Kissing Rock," rocks with odd shapes, and the "Dokonjo" tree that has grown out of the limestone. There are many ways to enjoy the area, such as "Soraland Hiraodai (Hiraodai Nature Village)," where you can try soba-making and pottery, "Senbutsu Cave," "Mejiro Cave," and "Oshika Cave," as well as "caving experiences," where you can explore natural caves.

Tanaka Farm
Tanaka Farm, which is only open from April to November every year, is popular for its original soft-serve ice cream made by mixing freshly harvested and frozen fruit with vanilla ice cream. You can fully enjoy the freshness of freshly picked fruit. In addition to sweet strawberry and blueberry flavors, you can't miss the limited-time purple sweet potato, pumpkin, and watermelon flavors.

Tomato picking Nature
The "Wakamatsu tomatoes" harvested at the tomato picking Nature, which is open every year from early March to late June, are sweet and rich, like fruit.
These tomatoes are now on sale at our hotel shop and have become so popular that they are selling out quickly.
You can also experience tomato picking at Nature, located very close to the hotel.

Ottimo Yakigasicafe
This baked goods cafe was renovated from a building known as the "house" that was once home to soldiers from a U.S. military base.
For lunch, you can enjoy a hearty and juicy hamburger or a vegetable-filled loco moco. The counter is lined with cute-looking baked goods, which are the restaurant's pride and joy and make perfect souvenirs.

Kitakyushu-shi
Hibikinada Green Park
With the theme of "water, greenery, and interaction with animals," this is the city's largest park, with a vast 4-hectare lawn, a tropical ecological garden, a pony field, and cycling courses. The highlight is the rose garden, which boasts 2,700 rose bushes of approximately 450 species. The ``World's Longest Swing,'' certified by Guinness World Records, has seating for 100 people and offers 100 different views. There are many animals kept in the park, including ponies, kangaroos, wallabies, and capybaras, so you can enjoy interacting with them.

Museum of Natural History & Human History
Boasting a total of over 9,000 exhibits, this is one of the largest natural history and history museums in western Japan. With the theme of "The Journey of Life," this facility allows visitors to enjoy a grand scale of history from the birth of the Earth to the evolution of life and the history of mankind.
A must-see is the Spinosaurus specimen, which is about 15 meters long! It was one of the largest carnivorous dinosaurs to ever live during the Cretaceous period, and its four-legged form is a spectacular sight.

Ashiya Seaside Park
Leisure Pool Aquasian
Aquasian, which is only open during the summer, is an outdoor leisure pool located in a seaside park adjacent to the Hibikinada Sea, north of Ashiya Town.
This facility has a 126m long water slide, a flowing water pool, a cafeteria, a grassy area, and more, making it a fun place for adults and children alike to enjoy all day long. What's more, you can re-enter the adjacent beach, so you can enjoy both the pool and the sea, which is a real attraction! In the fall, the Ashiya Sand Sculpture Exhibition will be held, featuring sand sculptures made by professional sand sculptors from Japan and abroad.
