Bizen Pottery is a traditional Japanese pottery made in the area around Okayama Bizen City, and is one of the six oldest kilns in Japan (Nihon Rokkoyo), and one of the oldest ceramics with a long history. Bizen Pottery has been passed down through the years. The gallery exhibits and sells works by artists who have handed down the traditional techniques to the present day.

"Shihomi Manju" is a rakugan-uchi confectionery that has been passed down since the ancient Genroku era.It is the origin of Japanese wagashi. A confectionery that has a long history with the tea ceremony, the outer shell is a mixture of finely ground sugar and kanbai powder (a powder made from white-roasted rice cake), and the cake is half-white and matcha.

Sohonke Kankawa “Nama Shihomi”
Soft habutae rice cake made with domestic glutinous rice is steamed in a steamer basket and wrapped in our signature "shihomi bean paste." Compared to Shihomi Manju, the secret to its popularity is its soft and chewy texture and rich bean paste.
