The archaeological site in the Oyu district is registered as one of the World Cultural Heritage sites 'Jomon Ruins of Hokkaido and Northeastern Tohoku. Kazuno-shi'
Numerous pottery, stone tools, and clay figurines have been unearthed within the historical site, and structures and artifacts related to rituals and prayers have also been discovered, leading to the belief that the Oyu Stone Circle was a place where rituals were performed.
At the Oyu Stone Circle Museum, you can enjoy displays of valuable excavated artifacts, as well as digital content such as 4K video and holograms.

This charming morning market recreates the nostalgic streetscape of a town with traditional covered walkways (gangi-zukuri), offering a variety of stalls including fresh vegetables, wild plants, and fruits from the local Kazuno area, as well as fishmongers and blacksmiths. It's a place where you can discover seasonal flavors and products showcasing the skills of local artisans.
Just a three-minute walk away on the Northern Tohoku Romantic Road is the "Former Sekizen Sake Brewery," founded in 1856. It is a building with the charm of the Meiji era, registered as a national tangible cultural property.
