Oarai Aquarium
The large aquarium where 20,000 fish greet you is a must-see. In the World Ocean Zone, popular sea creatures such as sharks and sunfish will be showing off their charm. The program includes an ocean live performance in which dolphins perform dynamic jumps, a sardine performance called "IWASHI LIFE" in which about 15,000 sardines move to the beat of lights and background music, and a penguin show. This is an aquarium where you can see, touch, and play.

Oarai-choOarai Isosaki Shrine
The view of the sunrise over the Kamiiso-no-Torii gate, which stands on a rocky reef on Oarai coast, is breathtakingly beautiful. Founded in 856, the shrine is known for its main shrine, which is designated as a prefectural cultural property, and the largest torii gate in the Kanto region, and has long been worshiped as a guardian deity for domestic safety and maritime transportation. Kamiiso, the place where the enshrined deity appears, has a majestic feel to it.

Hitachinaka-shiHitachi Seaside Park
A vast national park with an area of approximately 215ha. In spring, there are daffodils, tulips, and nemophila. Roses, zinnias, and sunflowers in summer. In autumn, kochia, cosmos and other seasonal flowers delight the eyes of visitors. In addition to the amusement park Pleasure Garden, which has over 25 types of attractions such as a Ferris wheel and roller coaster, the Rinkan Athletic Plaza is also popular. We recommend renting a bicycle or taking a tour of the large park on the Seaside Train.

Oarai Sun Beach
A beautiful beach where shallow, crystal-clear waves border a vast stretch of sand extending approximately 350 meters east–west and 1.3 kilometers north–south. Influenced by the breakwater of Oarai Port, sand has accumulated along the southern coast, forming this expansive beach. It opened in Showa 59 as Oarai Sun Beach.
Thanks to its wide, open, and flat sandy landscape, the beach was developed as a barrier-free beach based on the concept of a safe and comfortable model beach. Today, the idea of a “universal beach for everyone” has taken root, making it a multi-purpose beach accessible to all. In addition to marine activities such as swimming, clam digging, and surfing, the beach is also known for events like the Oarai Marine Fireworks Festival. In recent years, new initiatives have been introduced, including a beach library and T-shirt exhibitions held during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as nighttime illumination events featuring the sand and waves. As a result, a new beach culture continues to emerge on this vast stretch of shoreline.

Oarai Exciting Science Museum
A science museum with the theme of "ocean" with the Pacific Ocean right in front of you. Values children's perspectives, discoveries, and curiosity, and explains the mysterious phenomena that occur in the ocean in an easy-to-understand way about water, wind, light, and energy. On the 1st floor, the ``Undersea World'' is a water science museum where you can learn about bubbles and water droplets, and on the 2nd floor, the ``Marine World'' has interesting experimental equipment that allows you to understand the phenomena that occur in the sea and the properties of seawater.
