A local Kumahachi statue painted by local high school students has been unveiled!

A statue of our founder, Kumahachi Aburaya, dressed in a local design created by a young sensibility, welcomes you in the hotel lobby.
KAMENOI HOTEL nationwide are working as an "art project" to have local high school students paint the brand new "Kumahachi Statue" on canvas in colors typical of the region.
KAMENOI HOTEL OARAI 's "Kumahachi Statue" was designed and painted by the art department of Ibaraki Tachinakaminato High School, and returned to the hotel on October 24, 2025. Please see the details of the local design "Kumahachi statue" drawn by a young sensibility.

The yellow and purple of the pants are sweet potato colors. The jacket was conscious of brightening the gradient, and the back was designed with Minato and everyone's handprints. I painted the base in a beautiful color to make the Kumahachi statue stand out even more.
The unveiling ceremony was a great success! The character "Minato-chan" devised by Nakaminato High School Oarai the character "Araipe" of the town "Araipe" and the character "Funyaran" of KAMENOI HOTEL also came, and it was a very lively meeting.
