The UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage "Chichibu Night Festival" is on a par with the "Gion Festival" in Kyoto and the "Takayama Festival" in Hida.
This is the annual festival of Chichibu Shrine, one of Japan's three major float festivals, with a history of over 300 years dating back to the Edo period.

A special shuttle bus will be operated to Hakure Station on the Chichibu Railway.

This is a guided tour where you can walk along the rock formations, a scenic spot and natural monument. Come experience the natural beauty of Nagatoro.

　

　

・Please wear comfortable walking shoes. The course includes walking over rock formations.

・The event will proceed even in light rain (it may be canceled in the event of stormy weather, etc.)

・Please make your own way to the departure point, Nagatoro Town Tourism Association (in front of Chichibu Railway Nagatoro Station).

・Cancellation fees will be incurred from one week prior to the hike.
