[Hodosan Shrine]

It is one of the three major shrines of Chichibu, along with Mitsumine Shrine and Chichibu Shrine. It is said to have been founded about 1900 years ago by Prince Yamato Takeru no Mikoto, son of the 12th Emperor Keiko. The inner shrine, located at the summit of Mt. Hodosan (497m above sea level), is surrounded by trees and is a special space that is even cooler than the foot of the mountain. It can be reached by hiking or by ropeway. It is a famous spot that was the first in Saitama Prefecture to receive one star in the travel guide "Michelin Green Guide Japan".

[Nagatoro Funatama Festival]

The Funatama Festival, a summer tradition in Nagatoro, is a festival to pray for safety and no accidents on the Arakawa River. A festival ground is set up on the riverbank, and while the ceremony takes place, various events are held, including a procession of lantern-decorated boats on the water, floating lanterns, and a fireworks display. Many people fill the rocky riverbanks to enjoy a summer night in Nagatoro.

[SUSABINO Terrace]
A new observation terrace will open on July 7, 2025 (Monday) at the summit of Mt. Hodosan in Nagatoro.
Divided into three sections—"Photo Field," "View Counter," and "Chill-Out Bench"—this is a scenic spot surrounded by nature that changes with the seasons. Relax and enjoy the cool breeze while gazing at the townscape of Nagatoro and the grand panorama of the Chichibu mountain range.

[Hodosan Ropeway]
Located on Mt. Hodosan, which is 497 meters above sea level, it offers a beautiful panoramic view of the mountain range.
The train travels the total distance of 832m from the base station to the summit station in approximately 5 minutes.

[Asami Refrigerator]
This is a sweet shop where you can enjoy shaved ice made with natural ice. It is run by a company that has been making natural ice since 1890. The syrups and red bean pastes used for the shaved ice are handmade according to the season, and it is a popular shop that represents Nagatoro and attracts many tourists not only in summer but also in winter.
