You can see a fantastic world of blue that changes depending on the time of day and the angle of light depending on the season.
You can see so many different shades of blue that it is said that you cannot see the same blue throughout the year.
Legend has it that Nikobuchi is the home of a giant snake, said to be the incarnation of the water god.
Therefore, it remains a ``sacred place'' for locals even today.

Please note that there will be periods during which the submerged bridge will be closed to traffic.
A submerged bridge with a total length of approximately 121m located in the Kamaida district of Ochi Town. It is surrounded by mountains, and the contrast between the Kamaida village and the bridge on the opposite bank is beautiful.
It has also been used as a filming location and model for movies such as ``You Dance in Summer,'' ``Prefectural Office Hospitality Division,'' and ``The Dragon and the Freckled Princess.''
It is still used as a daily route by local residents, and you can often see canoes and other boats passing by.
This is the lowest submerged bridge on the Niyodo River with a total length of 191 meters.
Also, from upstream of the bridge, you can take pictures from both banks, so it's a great photo spot♪
Nakatsu Valley is a famous place known for its fiery maple leaves. There is a 1.6 kilometer long promenade in the valley, where you can see many of the spectacular sights up close.
