Kawazu-zakura, known as an early-blooming cherry tree, is a famous spot for this. The 35th Kawazu-zakura Festival will be held in 2025 in Kawazu Town, Shizuoka.

This festival is a beloved feature of Izu's spring scenery. During the festival, various events and stalls will be held, and the cherry blossoms will be lit up at night between 6pm and 9pm.

The contrast between the Kawazu cherry blossoms and rape blossoms gives you a sense of early spring.
