This is a shop that sells obanyaki that is only available during the winter.

It may look a little small, as it fits in the palm of your hand, but it's filled with plenty of bean paste!

As the sign says, Iwai-yaki with chestnut and butter bean paste is a specialty!

Would you like one with chestnuts or one with butter?

It's something I always struggle with.

In addition to red bean paste, they also have custard and zunda flavors.

Iwai ware is a winter treat, and it's safe to say it's the "flavor of winter" for Ichinoseki.

On the day I visited, customers kept coming in one after another.

The business is scheduled to last until April.

We can't wait for the warm spring, but we can enjoy Iwai ware during the cold winter.
