The Former Hikone Domain Matsubara Shimoyashiki (Ohama Goten) Garden

It is one of the few shioiri-style gardens that directly draws water from Lake Biwa.

It is also a leisurely strolling garden built with a pond and gentle undulations.

It was designated as a national scenic spot in March 2002 due to its value as a daimyo garden representing the Edo period.

Thereafter, public ownership began in 2003 and was completed in 2012.
