MOA Museum of Art (surcharge)
This is a substantial art museum with a collection of about 3,500 items, mainly oriental art, including paintings, calligraphy, and crafts. Among the collection are three national treasures: Ogata Korin's "Red and White Plum Blossoms Screen" (open to the public every February), Nonomura Ninsei's "Colored Wisteria Design Tea Jar," "Tekagami," and "Kanbokujo," and 67 items are designated Important Cultural Properties. The golden teahouse, associated with Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and the Noh theater host Noh and Kyogen performances and various events. The building stands on a hilltop with a great view overlooking Atami-shi and Sagami Bay, and below the museum is a 230,000 square meter garden called Zuiunkyo. The tour takes about two hours.

Kinomiya Shrine
A stately shrine building stands surrounded by dense trees. The large camphor tree (a natural monument) behind the shrine is estimated to be over 2,100 years old and is the largest tree in Honshu. The tree is approximately 26m tall and has a trunk circumference of 24m. It is said that if you go around once, you will live one year longer. There are also cafes and snack facilities such as the open tea room "Hoko".

Kiunkaku
This inn, beloved by many famous literary figures from the Taisho to Showa periods, retains its atmosphere as a designated tangible cultural property of Atami-shi. You can tour the room that Dazai Osamu actually used, the Roman-style bath, the carefully maintained gardens, and more.

Atami Fireworks Festival
The Atami Seaside Fireworks Festival is a historic fireworks festival that began in 1952 (Showa 27). It is a famous Atami event that is held more than 10 times throughout the year, not just in the summer. Come and experience the spectacular Atami Seaside Fireworks Festival unfolding before your eyes!

Plum Garden
Atami Garden, which opened in 1886 and is known for having the earliest-blooming plum trees in Japan, sees its first plum blossoms bloom every year between mid-November and early December.
There are 469 plum trees of 60 varieties, including old plum trees that are over 100 years old. The plum trees bloom in order of early to mid-season to late blooming, so you can enjoy the plum blossoms for a long period of time.

Sun Beach
Blue sea, white sand, a row of hotels, and a palm-lined street...the beach has an atmosphere similar to a luxury resort in a foreign country.
In the summer, it's a popular beach for families and couples, as well as a place where you can walk on the sand and play in the waves.
In the early morning, you can see the beautiful sight of the sun rising from the horizon painting the beach and city, and at night, you can enjoy the fantastic scenery of Japan's first beach illumination, designed by world-renowned lighting designer Mikiko Ishii.

Tokkoku Pass
Registered as a World Cultural Heritage Site A splendid view of Mt.
The name of Tokoku Toge comes from the fact that the ten old names of the country, "Izu," "Suruga," "Omi," "Kai," "Shinano," "Sagami," "Musashi," "Joso," "Shimosa," and "Awa," could be seen from here. The current Shizuoka, Yamanashi, Nagano, Kanagawa, Tokyo and Chiba. Fuji, the Southern Alps, Suruga Bay, the Shonan coast, and the Miura Peninsula can be seen from the top of Tokuni Pass on a clear day.

Atami
Atami Castle stands tall on the summit of Mt. Nishikigaura, a famous scenic spot in Atami. The castle tower observation deck offers a 360-degree panoramic view, and is the best vantage point in Atami, offering a view of not only the entire Atami-shi, but also Yugawara, the Manazuru Peninsula, and on clear days, the floating islands of Hatsushima and Oshima, as well as the Izu Peninsula towards Ajiro and Ito.
In spring, it is known as a famous cherry blossom viewing spot, and in summer, you can enjoy the fireworks display from the castle tower, feeling like a feudal lord.

Hatsushima
Hatsushima is an island that floats in the Sagami Bay on the eastern side of the Izu Peninsula. It is the only inhabited island in Shizuoka and is known as a resort island that can be reached in two hours from Tokyo.
This island is warm all year round due to ocean currents from the south, and is full of attractions such as fresh seafood, subtropical plants, nature activities, and many legends.
