At Atami Plum Garden, a firefly viewing evening will be held from June 1st to 8th.

The Genji firefly larvae released in March turn into adults between late May and June, emitting light as they flit about in the clear waters of the Hatsukawa River at night, creating a fantastical world.

After sunset, from around 7:30 p.m. Naturally occurring fireflies flit about on the banks of the clear stream. A fantastic scene unfolds before your eyes.
