Notice regarding the "Kyushu Recovery Support Discount"

In order to help restore tourism demand in the Kyushu region following the 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake, the Japan Tourism Agency has announced the implementation of the "Kyushu Recovery Support Discount," a discount program for travel and accommodation fees.

Among them, Kumamoto and Kagoshima, where cancellations have a significant impact on tourism, have a subsidy rate of 60%, while other prefectures have a 50% subsidy rate.

The following is an overview currently published by the Japan Tourism Agency. Please note that specific support measures and detailed implementation are left to the discretion of each prefecture.

[Discount Overview]

• Discount applies to:Travel and accommodation packages of one night or more in the Kyushu region.
• Discount period:For stays from October 1st, 2026 (Thursday) onwards.
• Discount rate:50% of travel and accommodation fees (60% for Kumamoto and Kagoshima)

[Maximum discount amount (per trip, per person)]

• Accommodation only / Accommodation package with transportation (1 night):20,000 yen
• Travel package including transportation and accommodation (2 nights or more):30,000 yen
• Tour package (staying in two or more prefectures):35,000 yen
