Heguri-choChogosonshi-ji
Due to Emperor Daigo's illness, Myoren Shonin prayed to King Bishamonten for his recovery by imperial order. His fervent prayer was successfully answered and the Emperor's illness was instantly cured. Therefore, it was given the imperial title ``Chogosonshi-ji'' as a place of prayer for the emperor, the peace of the temple, the protection of the land, and the longevity of descendants. In addition, Chogosonshi-ji is also known as ``Sigisan Temple'' and is loved by many people.

Ikaruga-choHoryuji Temple
It is said to have been built in the 15th year of the Suiko era (607) by Prince Shotoku and Emperor Suiko. The Nihon Shoki records that the temple was burnt down in the 9th year of Tenchi (670), and the current structure was completed by the beginning of the 8th century and still represents its former appearance. The precincts are divided into the west and east temples, each surrounded by a tsukiji wall called Ogaki (a nationally designated important cultural property). It is said to be the world's oldest surviving group of wooden buildings, as it was protected by the faith of the prince and was not affected by military fire or natural disasters. The structure is arranged in the style of a Horyuji temple, with a corridor around the central gate, and a main hall and a five-storied pagoda (both national treasures).

Ikaruga-cho
Horinji Temple
An ancient temple located in a place associated with Prince Shotoku. The name Mitsui is old and is said to have originated from the place where Prince Shotoku moved three wells from Asuka no Sato. It had a Horyuji-style temple layout and was complete with seven halls, but there are no buildings left at the time of its construction. The three-storied pagoda, which along with Horyu-ji and Hoki-ji, was praised for its beauty as one of the three Ikaruga pagodas, was destroyed by lightning in 1945, and was rebuilt in 1975 using traditional construction methods. In the auditorium, two Asuka Buddhas and six Heian Buddhas are enshrined: a seated statue of Yakushi Nyorai (Important Cultural Property) and a standing statue of Kokuzo Bodhisattva (Important Cultural Property).

Ikaruga-choFujinoki Tomb
Nara Ikoma-gun Ikaruga Town
A large round tomb with a diameter of 48m located to the west of Horyuji Temple. It is believed to have been built in the latter half of the 6th century, and excavations in 1985 unearthed an unpiloted house-shaped sarcophagus and luxurious gilt-bronze horse harnesses, which are important cultural properties. You can see inside the stone chamber through the glass window. Some of the excavated items are on display at the Kashihara Archaeological Research Institute Museum.

Kawai-choNara Umami Hills Park
One of the largest urban parks in Nara, surrounded by the history and nature of the Umami Kofun Group. The park, which stretches from north to south, consists of four areas: the green road, the north, the center, and the south.As it is located within the Umami tumulus group, there are many tumuli scattered throughout the park. There is also a park pavilion that provides an easy-to-understand introduction to the Umami Kofun Group with models and videos. Beautiful colorful flowers bloom throughout the year, including cherry blossoms and tulips in spring, irises and sunflowers in summer, and dahlias and cosmos in autumn.
