Can't wait for the cherry blossoms to bloom! "Cherry Blossoms along Lake Okutama"

Lake Okutama is about 40 minutes by car from the hotel, or about 90 minutes by train or bus.
Every year from early to mid-April, around 3,000 cherry trees, including Somei Yoshino, mountain cherry, Oyama cherry, and Oshima cherry, paint the surrounding mountainside pink around Lake Okutama.

While strolling along the lakeside, you can enjoy the view of the cherry blossoms reflected on the water's surface and the cherry blossoms in the mountains. The view of the cherry blossoms from the Omugidai parking lot is spectacular.

There are also hiking trails such as the Recreational Path and the Lakeside Path.

Mugiyama Floating Bridge, also known as the Drum Can Bridge, is a famous landmark of Okutama and is a floating bridge that crosses the lake.

You can enjoy the cherry blossoms from above the lake while feeling the wind blowing across the lake with your whole body (it may not be possible to cross depending on the water level).
