Traffic restrictions and cancellation of the JR Maibara Station shuttle bus service due to the 2025 National Sports and Para-Sports Tournament

In connection with the "Wata-SHIGA Shining National Sports and Para-Sports" event, we would like to inform you of traffic restrictions around our hotel on Sunday, September 28th, 2025, Wednesday, October 8th, and from Saturday, October 25th to Monday, October 27th.
Due to traffic restrictions, congestion is expected Hikone-shi, along Lake Biwa Sazanami Kaido, and on National Route 8, so we recommend that you travel early.

For those coming by car from Hikone IC on the Meishin Expressway
Traffic restrictions around Hikone Sports Park
A road closure will be in place between Funamachi intersection and Matsubarabashi intersection.

For those coming by shuttle bus
Due to traffic restrictions, we regret to inform you that the shuttle bus to JR Maibara Station will be cancelled on Sunday, September 28th, Wednesday, October 8th, and Monday, October 27th.
If you are using the shuttle bus, please use JR Hikone Station.
Free shuttle bus from JR Hikone Station (reservation required)
The bus will depart from JR Hikone Station's "East Exit Bus Stop".
Take the elevator or the stairs on the left at the east exit Hikone Station and you will find yourself at the rotary on the side of Omi Travel Office.
