Noma Daibo's principal image is a Buddhist statue donated by Minamoto no Yoritomo, who founded the Kamakura shogunate, and it has been protected and looked after by the Toyotomi and Tokugawa clans.
Since Minamoto no Yoritomo continued to pray to the principal image of the deity and his wish was granted, the temple has come to be known as a place where wishes are granted.
[What is a picture-telling sermon?]
Minamoto no Yoshitomo was defeated by the Taira clan and fled to this area of Noma, where he was assassinated.
The head priest will explain what happened and what happened afterwards in an easy-to-understand manner, using realistic descriptions.
At the end of the explanation, the chief priest will introduce the principal image, the Jizo Bodhisattva of Good Fortune and Longevity, and perform a purification ritual with the Heart Sutra to bring you good fortune.

■Minamichita Beach Land: an interactive aquarium and toy amusement park
10 minutes walk from our hotel!
Minamichita Beach Land and Minamichita Toy Kingdom have lots of events and play equipment that children will enjoy.
The admission fee is the same for both the Aquarium and Toy Kingdom, so you can freely come and go between them.
Families with small children can also enjoy the whole day to their heart's content.
Not only children but also dogs are welcome to enter the park!
We also recommend taking a walk along the seaside from the hotel to Beachland.

A zookeeper will guide you through the behind-the-scenes of the aquariumat Minamichita Beach Land, a side of the aquarium that is not normally open to the public.
You can touch sea turtles and feed the fish.

As the old song goes, "Handa in Chita is a town of breweries," this sake museum utilizes an old sake brewery where sake was actually produced for about 200 years until 1972.
With the aim of passing on the cultural heritage related to sake,
The museum displays traditional sake brewing tools that were actually used before the current factory began operations, as well as the skills of the craftsmen of that time.
There's also a tasting corner, which is a must-see for alcohol lovers!
You can sample sake and plum wine.

An experiential museum established at the site where Mizkan vinegar company was founded.
Along with the scenery of the black walls along the canal that still retains the atmosphere of the past, you can learn, while having fun, by seeing, touching, and learning about how vinegar was made in the Edo period, the brewing techniques that have been passed down through the generations, and the history and appeal of traditional food culture.
The museum is divided into five exhibition zones. The "Daichi no Kura" exhibit showcases the history of brewing from the Edo period to the present day.
"Corridor of Wind" allows visitors to experience the nostalgic scenery of Handa and the breath of its people through photos and sounds; "Storehouse of Time" traces the history of Mizkan's transformation and challenges;
The "Water Theater" expresses the connection between food and life throughout the four seasons in a beautiful natural setting.
There are plenty of things to see, including the "Garden of Light," an open, light-filled space where you can have fun learning about the appeal of food through experiences.
You can visit all five zones of MIM, from "Storehouse of the Earth" to "Garden of Light".
