Kamogawa Sea World

About a 5-minute walk from the hotel. With the concept of "Encountering the World of the Sea" right in front of the majestic Pacific Ocean, this is the largest aquarium in Chiba where you can learn about the importance of life and the wonderfulness of interacting with it in a fun way. Approximately 800 species and 11,000 marine creatures are on display, and the dolphin, sea lion, and beluga (white whale) shows, as well as the dynamic performances of the killer whales, are the most popular in the aquarium. It can be enjoyed by a wide range of people, from children to adults.

Niemon Island

An island with an area of approximately 30,000 square meters floating in the sea of Minamiboso. Legend has it that in the 4th year of the Jisho era, when Minamoto no Yoritomo was defeated in battle and fled to Awa, he was saved here by Niemon. It is called Niemonjima because the owner, Niemon Hirano, has only lived in one house since ancient times. It takes 5 minutes to reach the island by rowing boat with two turrets. It is a place of scenic beauty designated by Chiba, where you can enjoy swimming in the sea and playing on the shore.

Tanjyoji temple

Built in 1276 on the birthplace of Nichiren Shonin. There are many attractions within the precincts, including the main hall, which houses the wooden statue of the principal deity of the ten worlds donated by Mitsukuni Tokugawa, and the Soshi-do hall, which is supported by 52 thick zelkova pillars.
The Onigawara roof tiles of Soshi-do Hall are the largest in the world, with a folding capacity of 21 tatami mats. The incense sticks floating in the shrine grounds and the ocean breeze coming from the nearby coast have been selected as one of the ``100 Best Scented Sceneries'' by the Ministry of the Environment.

Seichoji Temple

Seichoji Temple is located near the summit of Mount Seicho, and it is said that a monk known as Fushigiboshi founded the mountain in 771 (the 2nd year of the Hoki era). Saint Nichiren entered the mountain at the age of 12. After studying in various countries, he returned here and is known as the temple where he first chanted Namu Myoho Renge Kyo and began spreading his teachings in 1253 (the 5th year of the Kencho era). The vast grounds are lined with buildings such as the main hall, guest hall, lodgings, Kannon hall, and bell tower, and are home to a giant cedar tree known as Seicho's Thousand-Year Cedar, a nationally designated natural monument. It is also the earliest spot in Japan to see the first sunrise, and the birthplace of Kyokushin Karate.

Oyama Senmaida

There are 375 terraced rice fields arranged in a staircase pattern on a steeply sloping site measuring approximately 30,000 square meters at the foot of Mt. Daisen. It is known as the village of rice terraces closest to Tokyo, and is the only one in Chiba that has been selected as one of Japan's 100 best rice terraces by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. You can enjoy different atmospheres depending on the season of rice planting and harvesting. We also offer agricultural experiences under the ownership system.

The History of Manaiwai
The birthplace of Mayui is thought to be the Boso Peninsula Chiba, where the custom of making Mayui kimonos began around 1800.
Originally, "Maiwai" meant a celebration for a big catch, but it gradually came to mean the kimonos that ship owners would hand out to celebrate a big catch. At the time, the kimonos that were distributed were actually bolts of cloth that were made into long kimonos or hanten coats, which everyone wore as celebratory attire.
This custom was widespread mainly along the Pacific coast, from as far north as Aomori to as far south as Shizuoka.
However, around the 1950s, the practice of wearing and distributing Manjushi on the occasion of a big catch decreased, and now people distribute practical items and cash on celebrations.

A direct sales store for agricultural products run by MUJI!
There is also a cafe where you can taste local vegetables.
"Muji Minami no Sato", run by MUJI, is a comprehensive exchange terminal that sells agricultural products, offers agricultural experiences such as strawberry and mandarin orange picking, and disseminates information about the local area.
Kamogawa-shi has a warm climate and is a thriving agricultural producer, including "Nagahasaka rice," which was presented to the Emperor. The direct sales store sells local specialties harvested that day, and you can purchase fresh vegetables and other items. The interior of the store is decorated in a stylish MUJI style, so be sure to check it out.
We also recommend Café&Meal MUJI, where you can taste local ingredients on the spot. They have a wide variety of menu items that use plenty of locally grown vegetables, and the simple seasonings allow you to enjoy the natural flavor of the vegetables.

Chiba is one of the leading "egg countries" in Japan. Our carefully selected fresh eggs are delivered every morning from Miyamoto Poultry Farm in Tateyama. Miyamoto Poultry Farm is an excellent poultry farm that won the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award (Grand Prize) at the Chiba Egg Quality Exhibition in 2000. We use a generous amount of authentic clover honey from Argentina. Please enjoy our castella cakes, which are made with all the ingredients, the skills of our artisans, and our heartfelt efforts.
