Tenjinzaki" became famous as a pioneer of the National Trust Movement. Tenjinzaki is a cape jutting out from the northern side of Tanabe Bay, formed by lush green hills centering on Hiyoriyama and flat reefs that emerge at low tide.
Here, the flora and fauna of the land and sea coexist across the flat reef, creating an ecosystem of forest, rocky shore, and sea.

When the tide is low and the level of the tide is about 150 to 140 cm, the water collected on the reefs reflects beautifully, creating a view similar to that of Salar de Uyuni. The time of day may vary slightly when there is a wave swell. Also, please note that on rainy or windy days, the surface of the water will ripple and not reflect beautifully.

World Heritage Kumano Kodo

Kumano Sanzan (Three Mountains of Kumano) is a sacred place of Shintoism, Buddhism, and Shugendo, and was originally a place of nature worship. In the Heian period (794-1185), the emperor and aristocrats made pilgrimages to Kumano to pray for peace in the past, present, and future, and in modern times, the practice spread to warriors and common people.
Kumano Sanzan is the general name for Kumano Hongu Taisha Shrine, Kumano Hayatama Taisha Shrine, Kumano Nachi Taisha Shrine, and Nachisan Seigantoji Temple. The cultural landscape surrounding these sacred sites and pilgrimage routes, which has been nurtured over many years by people and nature, is considered unique, and in July 2004 it was registered as a World Heritage site as "Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountain Range. Since then, the area has been awarded the highest three stars in the Michelin Green Guide and has been visited by many tourists from home and abroad.
